League of Greatest Youth presents ETCETERA

Survival in the ERA of BIG DATA requires taking the time to read the texts that inundate our eyes. Devices demand our attention and algorithmic models establish a social order that restricts access to privilege and liberty over time. Advances in technology benefit the few the most while those with the least are left behind. The plot line of this technological usurpation is a story as old as time.

To examine this plot, League of Greatest Youth presents the ETCETERA, a fifteen-episode, web-based series available on YouTube beginning November 2, 2019.

ETCETERA applies the TIPPing POINT Model to GREAT works of literature in the epic, tragic and comedic traditions. Analyzing the task of reading these texts while putting forth lasting effort reveals novel tactics for interpreting complex literary characters prone to spectacle and suffering. Using these tactics will make reading an epic experience, providing models for seeing how every piece, person, place and point is connected.
